Caraustar Industries today announced a price increase of $25 per ton on all uncoated recycled paperboard grades, effective starting with shipments on February 15, 2013.
The increase is in response to increasing costs, including raw materials, energy, transportation, labor and benefits, Caraustar said.
Caraustar Industries is of the largest manufacturers of recycled paperboard in the U.S. The company serves all four of the industry's principal recycled paperboard end-use markets: folding cartons, tubes and cores, specialty paperboard products and specialty gypsum wallboard facing paper.
