The Spanish multinational paper company Saica has acquired the Italian company Centroplast spa, which is a manufacturer of flexible packaging products. By acquiring Centroplast, Saica further diversifies its operations from its paper-based business to flexible packaging.
In addition to a presence in Italy, the Centroplast Group has business operations in Luxembourg.
"This is an acquisition that is allowing us to gain a foothold in the flexible packaging market together with a leading player. The investment has been made thinking in the long term and the potential development of this sector," assured the company president, Ramón Alejandro.
Saica Group is a manufacturer of recycled paper for corrugated cardboard.
