Grigeo Klaipėdos Kartonas AB, a company of the Grigeo Grigiškės group, has commissioned Voith to rebuild the board machine in Klaipeda, Lithuania. The main goals of the modernization are to increase capacity by 30% and to improve quality.
Voith will rebuild the wire section and deliver new drives for the dryer section. The rebuild is expected to be completed in the 3Q 2016. The board machine will be able to produce 130,000 t/y of Corrugated Medium and Testliner from OCC in a basis weight range of 90 – 200 g/m2.
This rebuild of the board machine is the first step of a three-phased investment program, to double the production capacity within the next three to five years.
