Dominique Lagarde has been appointed new president of French corrugated board association Carton Ondulé de France, according to EUWID. Lagarde will succeed Philippe Durand.
Mr Lagarde has reportedly more than 35 years of experience in the corrugated board industry. Prior to this appointment, he was at the head of Smurfit Westrock’s industrial operations in France.
Carton Ondulé de France is the professional organization representing over 70% of corrugated cardboard manufacturers, comprising 51 factories and approximately 9,600 employees in France. Carton Ondulé de France has six national and international groups as members.
The corrugated cardboard industry as a whole comprises 12 companies, 70 production sites, and 15,200 employees. In 2024, it produced 2.51 million tons, generating a turnover of €3.36 billion.
