Upcoming event: Papier d’Avenir

For the very first time, PAPEST (Papeteries du Grand Est) is organizing a major event in Nance, France in March 2026 dedicated to showcasing the careers and opportunities within the paper industry. The trade fair, running from March 13 to March 14, aims to modernize the sector's image, attract young people and adults seeking career changes, and highlight an immersive experience, conferences, job matching, creative workshops, and an interactive activity area.

The "Papier d’Avenir" trade show takes place within a social context where students in the process of choosing a career path are confronted early on with questions of professional future, stability, and employment. Middle and high school students navigate a digital environment saturated with contradictory messages. On the one hand, social media exposes precarious employment, unemployment, and the difficulty of achieving lasting integration into the job market. On the other hand, highly visible content promises rapid success, high incomes, and simplified career paths, often far removed from reality.

Fifteen- to seventeen-year-olds don't yet produce these kinds of discourses, but they constantly observe them. They grasp very early on that access to employment is complex, uncertain, and a source of pressure. In this context, the challenge of communication is not to create dreams or project an unattainable ideal, but to provide concrete, reassuring, and credible guidance.

The “Papier d’Avenir” trade fair is described as a genuine career guidance tool, showcasing an industry that is actively recruiting people. The show will take place at Centre Prouvé, 1 Place de la République, Nancy, France.
