The largest producer and exporter of packaging paper and sustainable paper packaging solutions in Brazil, Klabin was the big winner of the EXAME Best of ESG award, in the Paper, Pulp and Forest Products category. This is the second year in a row that the Company has topped the ranking and the fourth consecutive year that it is among the three best in the sector. The recognition was announced on the 25th, during a ceremony held at Casa Charlô, in São Paulo.
The result reinforces Klabin's successful trajectory in the environmental, social and governance fronts, with emphasis on the implementation of solid and transparent projects in these areas. With 126 years of history, the Company made its 2030 Agenda public by launching the KODS – Klabin Goals for Sustainable Development, whose progress can be monitored through its ESG Dashboard.
The EXAME Best of ESG award is promoted by EXAME Magazine, with support from Ibmec – a private higher education institution focused on finance. The award methodology is based on the principles of management guided by the best environmental, social and governance practices, recognizing companies with annual revenues of R$150 million or more that are a reference in ESG.
