BASF launches production of paper chemicals in Finland

BASF has officially started production of new cohesive products for paper industry, based on acrylic and styrene- butadiene polymers at the capacities of its plant in Finnish Hamina.

It is planned that the production of the new plant will be supplied to customers in Northern Europe and Russia.

Currently BASF already supplies its chemicals for paper industry to the Western and Central Europe from its plant in German Ludwigshafen.

According to Andreas Türk, senior vice -president of BASF Paper Chemicals Europe, the company’s chemicals for paper industry are in great demand in the EU market, which means that the company will continue investments in the expansion of production range and geography of supplies.
