Hamburger Turkey Ltd., part of Hamburger Containerboard, has purchased a new paper machine from Valmet for its paper mill project in Kütahya, Turkey. The Valmet machine will have a width of 7,80m and an annual production capacity of 480,000 tonnes containerboard. It will produce mainly light-weight testliner and fluting.
The Hamburger Containerboard Division operates seven paper mills in four countries with 2 million tonnes of produced container board per year. The two existing paper mills in Turkey are based in Corlu and Denizli and operate under the Hamburger Turkey brand.
