According to the Columbian newspaper, Georgia-Pacific will shut part of Camas mill in Washington state, cutting up to 300 jobs. The partial closure is due to take effect beginning in the second part of 2018.

The mill employed 2400 workers in th 1980s, and only 120 to 140 jobs will remain after the move.

The reason for the decision is lower demand for office paper, according to Georgia-Pacific.

The paper mill in the southwest Washington city of Camas is cutting up to 300 jobs.
