Belgian packaging maker VPK has reported increased sales revenues of its Romanian subsidiary. In the first half of 2016, the company’s corrugated board plant in Salonta, Romania, sold €12.6 million worth of products, up 26% compared with the same period a year earlier.
The increase in revenues was due to the company’s move to raise the Romanian factory’s output capacity, reports local business daily Ziarul Fi-nanciar. This year, VPK aims to post revenues of €24.5 million, up 15% compared with 2015.
This year, VPK is planning to invest about €2 million with the aim to further upgrade its Romanian production facility.
