Oji Holdings Corporation recently announces that it has decided to close the No. 4 Machine at Oji Paper Co., Ltd.’s Kasugai Mill. PM4 produces woodfree printing paper, printing paper, wood containing paper, middle grade and wrapping paper. The machine has a capacity of 44 000 tons/year.
Oji Paper foresees demand continuing to decrease so the company has decided to make this closure in order to further reduce costs and strengthen its international competitiveness, it says.
The closure is scheduled for March 2017.
