Mondi SLPK, one of Russia’s largest paper manufacturers, has invested over 1.6 billion euros of investments in its modernization over the past 15 years.

As general director of the company Klaus Peller told during the recent visit to the plant of Denis Manturov, Russia’s Minister of Industry and Trade, the company has made serious achievements in the Russian market in recent years. It currently rents 2.5 million hectares of forest in Komi, grows 8 million pine and spruce seedlings in the largest nursery in the North-West of Russia, while its production capacity is 1.3 million finished products.

Klaus Peller comments:

- We are not be satisfied with what has already been achieved . We have a lot to do, for example, the second stage of modernization of the thermal power plant. The plant's investment projects made it possible to improve the life of both the plant itself and the city of Syktyvkar, where it is based. Mondi SLPK not only produces paper and cardboard, but also provides 17% of Komi's need for electricity»
