At ExpoAcotepac in Cali, Colombia, Emtec Electronic will be presenting selected measuring devices at the booth of its partner company IDMtest from February 25 to 27. In addition to two compact charge measuring devices, the TSA will also be presented this year in a new design as the Tactile Sensation Analyzer.
As every year, ExpoAcotepac opens its doors in February to trade visitors and decision-makers from the South and Central American paper industry. The event is organized by ACOTEPAC, an association whose goal is to promote technology, science, and new technologies and trends in the pulp, paper, and cardboard industry.
Together with its long-standing partner IDMtest, emtec Electronic is taking the opportunity to present the newly designed TSA for the first time on site at booth 27. The device continues to be used for the objective assessment of the haptic properties of hygiene papers, but can now be operated even more intuitively thanks to its integrated touchscreen. The predecessor model, known as the Tissue Softness Analyzer, has been already successfully established in the tissue industry. The further development into the Tactile Sensation Analyzer has now been expanded with additional options for digitizing optical and thermo-haptic properties.
Also on display are the two compact and user-friendly devices CAS Charge Analyzing System for measuring particle charge and the FPA Fiber Potential Analyzer for determining fiber charge (zeta potential). Their use in the wet-end of paper production enables more precise chemical dosing, contributing to more stable production processes, improved product quality, and resource-efficient chemical use. The devices offer an additional advantage, especially for chemical suppliers: thanks to their compact design, they can be easily transported in the hand luggage and are quickly ready for use on site.
Interested visitors to ExpoAcotepac are cordially invited to visit booth 27 to learn first-hand about the latest technological developments and discuss individual questions regarding quality control and process optimization. Andres Torres, David Candia, and John Rosero from IDMtest, as well as Philipp Sievers and the new emtec colleague Andrea Carolina Maldonado Castellar, who is originally from Colombia, will be available on site for personal discussions and look forward to exchanging ideas with visitors.
