St. Petersburg will retain its status as one of the centers of paper production in Russia in years to come, thanks to the ever growing paper output this year.
For example, according to latest data, provided by St. Petersburg regional authorities, paper production in the city this year grew by 40%, compared to the same period of last year, while the growth is currently ongoing.
As the city’s economy is steadily recovering from the pandemic and its consequences, the demand for paper is steadily growing.
So far, the city of St. Petersburg has already had a status of one of the centers of paper and cardboard in Russia and, according to analysts’ predictions, will retain it at least within the next decade.
Currently the number of operating pulp and paper factories in the city is almost record in comparison with other Russian regions, while analysts expect new production facilities will be commissioned in the region already in the coming years.
