Austria’s Prinzhorn Group is planning to invest some €52 million to construct a new packaging factory in Hungary that is to largely rely on the recycled cardboard output of the group’s subsidiary Hamburger Containerboard.
Under the plan, the Hungarian production facility is to be opened in the summer of 2021, and it will be located in Dunavarsány, about 15 kilome-ters south of the country’s capital Budapest, according to the information obtained by local weekly Budapest Business Journal.
The factory will employ about 200 workers, and it will have a production capacity of some 240 million sq. m. of packaging per year.
