Saudi Arabia’s corrugated cardboard pack-aging producer United Carton Industries Company (UCIC) has signed a deal to acquire a Nozomi C18000 six-color, single-pass LED inkjet printer from U.S. manufacturer Electronics For Imaging (EFI).
UCIC has a capacity to make about 400,000 tons, or 1.2 billion boxes, per year at its production facilities, EFI said in a statement.
“We were highly impressed with the dual feeding feature of the printer and the three different printing modes,” said Ali Jariwala, the Supply Chain Vice President at UCIC, as quoted in the statement.
The value of the latest purchase was not disclosed.
