Contest winner visits Arauco in Brazil

Recently, Clemente Guarda, one of the students on the Diego Portales University team that won the 5th CTT-Corma Architecture in Wood Contest in Chile, visited Arauco’s MDF, MDP and Flooring production facilities in Pien, Brazil. Accompanied by plant manager Andreas Hofmann, the winning student got to know the production processes and broad variety of designs, colors and textures for melamine products manufactured by the company in Brazil.

Together with the company’s Head of Construction in Wood Development Enrique Mc-Manus, Clemente Guarda visited stores and construction companies that use Arauco wood products. Among these were high quality furniture design stores that use Trupan and Faplac panels; stores specializing in Floorest flooring and paneling; and construction companies that use MSD wood to manufacture roof structures for buildings.

The tour was part of an invitation to visit Curitiba, Brazil, extended to one of the winners of the 5th CTT-Corma Architecture in Wood Contest.by Weinmann, a company specializing in prefabricated timber homes.
