In May 2010, SCA qualified for the tenth consecutive year for the FTSE4Good global sustainability index. FTSE4Good’s six-month review in September 2010 proved again that SCA has a strong sustainability strategy
FTSE4Good sets tough demands on companies. Consequently nine were removed from the list after the biannual review. "We are very pleased that SCA continues to qualify for the FTSE4Good global sustainability index," says Patrik Isaksson, Vice President Environmental Affairs, SCA.
FTSE4Good is a global market index for sustainability, measuring the companies’ ability to meet globally recognized standards for corporate responsibility. The criteria for the index cover environment, climate change, human rights, vendor standards and measures toprevent corruption. They are updated regularly.
The FTSE4Good index is jointly managed by the London Stock Exchange and the Financial Times, evaluating businesses based on their social and environmental actions.
