IBS Paper Performance Group presents the new innovation, the Online-PDC™. Based on micro wave technology, Online-PDC™ is a proven, non radioactive, easy to install online measuring system for optimum adjustment of the sheet dryness on all paper and board machines.
The water content is measured on certain points. This accurate measuring of the consistency allows for a regulation of the dryness via EVA™-vacuum valves (VAcuum Control System) and appropriate control strategy.
According to IBS the advantages of Online-PDC™ are the continuous and accurate measurement of dryness, thus perfect vacuum control via EVA™. Minimized power consumption for wire drive and vacuum pumps, improvement of paper quality through controlled sheet formation, maximum ply bond for multilayer products, optimized spray starch application for multilayer products, reduced wire and ceramic wear and no radioactive sensors.
