German-Belgian corrugated base paper producer Blue Paper SAS has invested some €25 million to upgrade its facility in Strasbourg, France, and decrease its energy use.

In 2018, the plant made some 390,000 tonnes of corrugated base paper, according to the information obtained by French news site Usinenouvelle.com. The facility is operated by a workforce of 160 em-ployees.

The produced grades include fluting, testliner and multi-use paper in substances ranging between 70 and 135 g/m2, according to the man-ufacturer.

Blue Paper SAS says it is a joint venture created by Germany’s Klingele Group and Belgium’s VPK Packaging.
