Packaging maker Amcor has opened a new production hall in Łódź, in Poland’s central part. The expanded plant makes a wide range of paper packaging products for the tobacco industry.
The investment increased the facility’s workforce by about 100 employees to a total of 500, reports local daily Dziennik Łódzki. The plant is enavled to make some 8 billion packaging products per year.
Following the latest expansion, the factory is fitted with a total surface of over 25,000 square metres. Amcor supplies its output to a number of major tobacco companies, including BAT, JTI, Philip Morris, Imperial Tobacco Group and others.
