Avezzano mill might be converted to produce board

Burgo's Avezzano mill in Italy has been idle for over a year, but according to a potential investor the plant might be converted to produce board, Euwid reports.

The government of the Abruzzo region and the Lombardi group will form a new company (NewCo) in order to restart operations, according to media reports. The fine paper machine will then be converted to produce board. Production is expected to start in autumn 2016.
