Russian company plans to increase newsprint production

Solikamskbumprom, one of Russia’s largest pulp and paper producers, based in the Perm region, reduced the production of newsprint by 9.4% in 2014 to 352,700 tonnes, according to an official spokesman of the company.

This has resulted in the decline of the company’s share in total Russian newsprint production from 24.5% in 2013 to 21.6% in 2014.

According to the company, of these volume about 29% was sold in the domestic market, while 71% - in foreign markets. The company’s production is currently  exported to more than 50 countries. In 2015, the company plans to increase the production of newsprint up to 511,160 tonnes.
