LLC "Egger Drevprodukt Gagarin, one of Russia’s largest pulp and paper producers, has launched a new line for the production of impregnated decorative paper in the Smolensk region of Russia.
The new production created more than 400 new jobs, while the project is personally supported by Alexei Ostrovsky, the governor of the Smolensk region.
The new facility has the capacity to produce 120 000 sq. meters of paper per shift, which is expected to be significanty increased during the next several years. This will make it Russia’s largest plant for the production of decorative paper.
During the second stage of the project the company plans to launch a new line for the produciton of flooring and 2 laminating lines.
