Valmet has received a new contract to rebuild TM 1 with Advantage DCT technology at Hayat Kimya’s mill in Yeniköy, Turkey.
The Turkish tissue manufacturer already has five tissue machines from Valmet. The TM 2, 3, 4 and 5 are already in production while TM 6 is scheduled for start-up in 2016. "We are very satisfied with the operations of our previous Valmet machines so it was a natural decision to go with Valmet also this time" said, Lütfi Aydin, Director, Paper Group, Hayat Kimya.
According to the new contract, Valmet will replace existing press section with an Advantage ViscoNip press. In addition, the tissue line will be equipped with a new Advantage AirCap hood as well as an upgrade and optimization of the Cogen Airsystem. The existing dust system will be upgraded to Advantage WetDust to improve the work environment and safety.
The rebuild, scheduled for November 2015, is expected to enhance energy efficiency, product properties and runnability.
