The British newsprint producer Aylesford Newsprint Limited has announced that it is making an application to the courts to go into administration, according to Euwid.
According to BBC News, more than 230 people have been made redundant at the newsprint company located in Kent.
The remaining 65 staff will help the administrators in the divestment of the company's assets and the decommissioning of the paper mill.
Aylesford Newsprint Limited is a newsprint paper manufacturer, producing on average 400,000 tonnes of recycled newsprint every year from 500,000 tonnes of recycled waste fibre.
Paper has been manufactured on the Aylesford site since 1922.
