Gapcon, an engineering company offering services to paper manufacturers, is looking to expand business in India, The Telegraph reported on 13 January 2015.
Wolfgang Mark, Director, Gapcon Engineering, said, "Our company turnover is around EUR 40 million and around 15 percent of sales is in India. India is a growing market and we want to double the sales over the next five years,” according to the news report.
Gapcon currently has a service workshop at Kalyani in West Bengal. In order to expand, the company is planning to offer services to large size paper manufacturers.
Mark added, "The paper industry at the moment is not doing well but we expect it to recover. We are not immediately looking to expand into other parts of India, but if demand picks up, we can expand at our facility in Kalyani.”
