Consumption of pulp in Europe increased slightly in July

According to UTIPULP, consumption of pulp in Europe increased in July by 9,251 tonnes, or slightly less than 1.0%, compared to June, and up 15,178 tonnes, or 1.6%, over July 2013.

Total pulp consumption in UTIPULP countries in July 2014 was 957,203 tonnes versus a June figure of 947,952 tonnes and a July 2013 figure of 942,025 tonnes.

Pulp inventories in UTIPULP countries in July was 579,463 tonnes, an increase of about 2.4% from a June figure of 565,527 tonnes, and a decrease of about 5.0% from a July 2013 figure of 610,237 tonnes
