Amcor Tobacco Packaging is planning to build a manufacturing plant in East Java, Indonesia. The production is expected to start in late 2015.

Peter Konieczny, President, Amcor Tobacco Packaging, said: “Amcor will be the first international tobacco packaging player to establish a manufacturing presence in Indonesia, bringing new jobs, technology, and innovation to the country. This move underscores Amcor’s long-term commitment to grow with its customers – especially in emerging markets – and to contribute to the Indonesian economy.”

Amcor Tobacco Packaging has expanded its presence in Indonesia in the past three years. The new production facility will cater to customers in Indonesia and abroad.
