Voith has signed a new contract to supply tissue machine to Cheng Loong, an international paper manufacturer based in Taiwan. The new tissue machine, TM 16, to produce high-quality dry crepe toilet paper and hand towel will be installed at Cheng Loong’s facility in Chupei.
According to Voith, TM 16 comprises single-layer MasterJet Pro T headbox and the NipcoFlex T shoe press to reduce energy consumption. The pulp and paper technology company will also supply 18-foot steel Yankee cylinder for best heat transfer and the MasterReel reel.
TM 16 is expected to start operations in September 2015.
Cheng Loong has the capacity to manufacture 2.2 million metric tonnes of paper and paperboard annually. The company has its presence across the globe especially China, Vietnam, Japan and the US.
