The Chetwynd pulp mill produces hardwood BCTMP in a high-yield process and has a production capacity of 240,000 tpy.
Production has been interrupted since September 2012. However, according to Canada's trade union Unifor, the mill is expected to start up again in spring 2014, following the sale.
According to Euwid, Paper Excellence has purchased several mills from Tembec in the past, amongst them two French mill, Tarascon and Saint Gaudens pulp mills.
