Andritz announces that it has received an order from Stora Enso to supply equipment for modernization of the fiberline at the Oulu mill in Finland.The goal of the modernization project is to improve operational cost efficiency by increasing energy efficiency and reducing chemical consumption.
The scope of supply includes a cooking upgrade with a new Help pre-steaming chip silo and supply of a new bleaching stage with a drum displacer washer.
The modernized plant will be started up in two phases in 2014 and 2015.
Stora Enso’s Oulu mill has an annual production capacity of 1,125,000 tons of coated wood-free paper and 370,000 tons of oxygen-bleached long-fiber pulp.
