At the end of May, a three days seminar took place in Paris, at the Business Center Elysées La Défense, on the topic of “Water Management in Papermaking”. The event was organized by IBC Paper Training.
The seminar, held in English, gathered together 18 participants, all working in the paper making industry. The companies represented by them were: Hamburger Hungaria Kft. (Hungary), Verso Paper (USA), Mondi Group (Poland), Dentas Romania, SCA Hygiene Limited (UK), Copamex Industrias SA (Mexico), SCG Paper PLC (Thailand), SCA Hygiene Products Operations SNC, Smurfit Kappa, Arjowiggins and Axchem Group (all 4 from France). The subject focused on a very important and encountered topic among the paper makers nowadays: how to improve your water management in papermaking. The lectures were given by consultants coming from all over Europe, all specialized in their field, making the training a very practical and complete one: Per Sundblad from Sweden (Sundblad Paper Chem Consulting AB), Leon Joore from Netherlands (Millvision B.V.), Alain Lascar from France (Kadant Lamort), Noel Finance from France (Kadant Lamort), Arnaud Gouranton from France (Pall Corporation) and Philippe Schyns from Netherlands (NALCO).
A lot of useful and practical information about the approached topic was given to the attendees, due to the high level of theoretical and practical knowledge of the experts that focused each on very specific parts of the general subject.
Thanks to this seminar, the participants had the opportunity to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about the tools that enable you to take control of your water management, the solutions to improve it and how to increase productivity cost and the impact of water on the machine’s runnability. The participants were extremely interactive during the whole training, not only between themselves, but with the experts as well.
The feedback given at the end of the training, on the satisfaction forms, were all very good, so we can consider that the training was overall a real success.
