Paper Master offers the advantages of Web Inspection (WIS) and Web Break Monitoring (WBM). Alternatively WIS and WBM can be installed as one unified, integrated system to determine where and how a defect occurred even faster with only one mouse click. Based on the new outstanding Paper Master, irregularities of the surface can be detected faster and easier than before – a decrease of quality defects of up to 70% can be reached.
Paper Master - Web Inspection System (WIS) inspects the whole width of the sheet on the paper machine in order to provide excellent photographic images of each defect. The industry’s fastest high-resolution line-scan cameras and image processors accomplish a 100% inspection of the paper surface and ensure the highest detection performance down to microns. The line-scan cameras with higher CD and MD unique high resolution deliver the best image sharpness. In addition, the state-of-the-art technology includes LED lighting that provides detailed defect images at a production speed of more than 2,000m/min. An outstanding defect classification differentiates process-relevant defects from irrelevant ones and enables to act on the precise results. Usually the teaching process within the classification takes many weeks. With the unique Paper Master WIS the integration of the complete software is now easier and shorter, and allows the optimization of the system together with the classification of size and priority of defects within only a few hours.
