Pama GmbH, a German paper machine supplier, was recently entrusted by Allard Emballages, a French packaging paper manufacturer, with the manufacture of two high turbulence headboxes for PM 3.
The new headbox at the top wire is fed by a radial flow distributor. A novel manifold equipped with a water dilution system provides the headbox of the bottom wire with stock.
During the development phase, the Pama-owned headbox pilot laboratory and the paper laboratory were intensively used. In technology partnership with the customer, the designing engineers succeeded leading new ideas to the market in a short time.
The headbox systems PAMA head of the new generation are characterized by sliding lamella, variable jet geometry, and edge control.
With the installation of the equipment at PM 3 the precondition for future performance and product variety has been created.
