Mondi plans to install a new 155,000 tpy paper machine at its pulp and paper mill in Štětí, Czech Republic, according to Euwid Pulp and Paper. The new machine is said to meet growing market demand for bleached kraft paper.
PM 7 is scheduled to come online in the first half of 2014. Around 50% of the new capacity is expected to be used internally to satisfy Mondi's own requirements.
Mondi’s facility in Štětí produces kraft pulp, linerboard, machine glazed and kraft sack papers. The investment in new capacity amounts to €70m.
