Smurfit Kappa Interwell, along with 150 guests, recently celebrated the launch of a BHS dry end and a 5 colour midline machine, the first of its kind in Austria.

With this new investment, Smurfit Kappa Interwell is equipped to supply customers, both current and future, with superior, multicolour RSC products for retail ready and transport packaging.

In attendance were approximately 100 customers representing around 50 companies, Smurfit Kappa Interwell’s suppliers, and the company’s top management. The event highlighted Smurfit Kappa as a professionally operating leader in corrugated packaging with strong local roots in Austria. It also helped to strengthen relationships with our customers and clearly expressed that we sell more than just a box.

Tony Smurfit, president and COO of Smurfit Kappa Group, said that he is proud of what has been achieved through hard working employees and loyal customers.

Georg Fischer, general manager of the Interwell site and CEO of corrugated CCE, stressed that a successful packaging company is not only characterized by its state of the art machinery. It is in fact the people behind the scenes, who contribute to the value creation process, who keep the company in a sustainable and competitive position in challenging markets.
