Duni is one of the finalists for the prestigious Innovation of the Year Award at the international trade fair Hotelympia 2012. Table covering material Evolin– which combines single use convenience with the premium feel of linen – is the hybrid material that is taking Duni all the way to the finals.
On February 26, the international trade fair Hotelympia will kick off in London. Evolin is one of six nominated finalists among 120 competing entries in the category design/interiors.
Evolin is one of a kind. The process of developing a new table cover material has been intensive and on-going since 2008, with the help of various industry experts, engineers, and restaurateurs in several countries. The goal has been to combine the look and feel of a linen tablecloth with the comfort, convenience, and functionality of a single-use table cover. A product that has long been requested by restaurant owners.
Famed Swedish restaurateur Pontus Frithiof was part of the team behind the product, and believes Duni has truly succeeded. According to Frithiof:
– With Evolin, Duni has managed to create a three dimensional table cover material that has elegance, luster, and high standards. It is also both functional and affordable. It is going to change the way restaurants set tables.
Evolin is produced in Sweden and is currently being launched for hotels and restaurants across the world.
