Rottneros is planning to sell its mill in Vallvik, according to the newspaper Dagens Industri. According to the Finnish consultancy firm Pöyry, Rottneros has contacted several potential buyers, among them SCA, by the end of 2011. Rottneros’ CEO denies this information. In a press release published yesterday, Rottneros states:
“In response to today's article in Dagens Industri, Rottneros denies that any assignment has been given to advisors to dispose of any of the Group's pulp mills. However, and as previously communicated, we are conducting active discussions about finding new use for the CTMP equipment from the closed Utansjö Mill.”
