The Minister of Agriculture in the province of Buenos Aires, Ariel Franetovich, has recently met with representatives from the Austrian company Mayr-Melnhof Karton.  The carton board producer is interesting in investing in a pulp mill south-west of Buenos Aires.

According to Mayr-Melnhof Karton the investment would amount to 250 million euros. About 200 people will be employed at the pulp mill, which will produce pulp out of Eucalyptus tree. The Argentinean officials underscored that the Austrian company is not the only one to be interested in investing in the region when it comes to forestry.
