Czech paper machine producer Papcel a.s. has unveiled plans to take over an unnamed Italian paper machine ma-nufacturer.
Company representatives say that in the coming years, Papcel is plan-ning to take over a number of Western European industry players to in-crease its production capacities and export sales. Last year, the com-pany posted revenues of some CZK 1.2 billion (€44.5 million), according to data obtained by local business daily Hospodarske Noviny.
In late 2016, Papcel acquired Italian tissue paper machine maker GapCon tissue S.r.l. under a deal estimated to be worth some CZK 55 million (€2 million).
