Segezha Group appoints new CEO

Segezha Group appoints Kamil Zakirov as new CEO and Chairman of the Management Board. Former CEO, Sergey Pomelov, will assume the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors, Segezha Group.

Kamil Zakirov served as the Head of oilfield service holding Targin, incorporated in Sistema JFSC.

Mr. Zakirov started his career back in 1993 as the Head of JV Remko Alnas Ltd, Moscow office. Between 1996 and 2001, hewas Managing Director ofRemko Caspian Ltd.From 2002 through 2004,Zakirovwas Vice President of oilfield service companyExcess Industries(Eurasia).From 2004 through 2007,hewas Head of Business Development atWeatherford International(USA), and Vice President, Russia and the CIS, atWeatherford International(USA) from 2007 through 2010.Hewas appointed Vice President ofNewTech Servicesin 2010 (provides engineering and management services to the oil and gas industry, founded by “MMC Holdings Group”).Since 2013,heserved as CEO ofTargin Holding(known as Bashneft Service Assets until June 2014).

Segezha Group is one of the largest Russian forest industry holdings with the vertically integrated structure and a full cycle of logging and added-value wood processing.
