The American Forest & Paper Association released its November 2016 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report which states that containerboard production was 3.8 percent higher compared to November 2015. The month-over-month average daily production compared to October 2016 was 3 percent higher.
The containerboard operating rate for November increased to 96.4 percent, while the year-to-date operating rate was 0.5 percent lower compared to year-to-date 2015.
