Cartiere Carrara in Italy will expand its tissue capacities. According to Euwid, a new 60,000 tpy TM will be installed.
A new cogeneration plant, intended to supply energy to the new machine, is to be installed as well. According to Euwid, citing local newspapers, Cartiere Carrara will invest €10m in the expansion project which is currently undergoing an environmental impact assessment. Once the project is approved, it is anticipated to be realised over the next two years.
Cartiere Carrara produces tissue paper and converts it to tissue products such as toilet paper, paper towels, handkerchiefs or tablecloths. Cartiere Carrara operates nine production facilities in Italy and employs around 300 people. 70% of its products are exported.
