Kruger mill resumes operations after fire

The tissue paper machines at Kruger Products’ mill in Gatineau, Quebec, have resumed operations following a fire on Saturday, Jan. 9, Pulp & Paper Canada reports.

No injuries have been reported

The fire is believed to have begun in the plant’s electrical system, and damaged the transformers powering one of the paper machines.

The tissue mill has a paper manufacturing capacity of 253 tonnes per day.
