New machine purchased U.S. manufacturer Essentra Packaging’s factory in Lublin, in Poland’s south-western part, has bought its first hybrid printing press from Mark Andy.

After comprehensive market research, Essentra Packaging chose a Digital Series HD manufactured by Mark Andy,” the business said in a statement.

Owing to its latest purchase, Essentra has reduced the time for sample printing and material usage for versioned work by up to 80%. It has also significantly reduced processing waste and with job proofing more streamlined, has made production more cost effective,” Mark Andy said.

The Lublin-based production facility supplies its output mainly to customers from the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, making printed carton packaging using sheet fed offset presses, as well as labels.

The value of the latest acquisition was not disclosed in the statement.
