Russia’s SFT Group continues modernization of its flagship paper factory

SFT Group holding, one of Russia’s largest producers of paper, cardboard and corrugated cardboard has completed modernization of the Kamensk paper and cardboard mill, one of Russia’s largest paper mills, located in the city of Kuvshinovo of the Tver region, according to recent statements of the company and local media reports.

Under the terms of the project, a particular attention was paid for modernization of the paper-making machine, which was re-launched after the modernization.

The conducted modernization allowed to increase the productivity of the equipment and the quality of the paper produced.

The modernization of the paper-making machine will continue as part of a new investment project with a completion horizon until 2025. It will result in the expansion of corrugated board production capacities at the enterprise. The projected volume of investments is about 4 billion rubles. It is planned to create 130 jobs.

Kamenskaya BKF is a city-forming enterprise of the Kuvshinovo mono-territory, which employs about 800 people. The factory produces corrugated paper, cardboard, boxes and boxes, various types of packaging with printing. The annual volume of production is 180 million square meters of corrugated board and packaging and 280,000 thousand tons of layers for the production of corrugated board.

In addition to Russia among the major sale markets of the factory are Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Guatemala, El Salvador, Cuba, Venezuela, Syria, Poland and the US.
