Oji Paper, Saga, awards order for Dryer Fabric Cleaners to ProJet

Power Cleaner, version 2.0 in operation.

ProJet Japan Co. Ltd. based in Tokyo, received an order for 2 Power Cleaners (dryer fabric cleaners) from Oji Paper, Saga mill for their Paper Machine # 1. The order is a spin-off of the successful installation of Power Cleaners that were already installed on the PM’s 1st and 2nd Dryer Section Top. The new Cleaners will be installed on 2nd Dryer Section Bottom and 3rd Dryer Section Top. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

ProJet already supplied over 60 Power Cleaners to Oji Paper mills in Japan the last decade. The HP cleaners are installed in the Forming and Press Sections as well as the Dryer Sections of the Oji machines across Japan.

PM1 produces Corrugated Medium and Kraftliner, using 100% OCC. OCC is known for its extreme contamination on the Dryer Section, which is exactly the reason that Oji Paper chose ProJet again. The equipment is scheduled to be delivered in Q1, 2022 and installation & start-up in later in 2022. Unique about this order is that the Power Cleaner will be ProJet’s Power Cleaner 2.0, the upgraded version. The upgrade consists of a smaller cleaner head, more nozzles at higher pressure and improved vacuum/discharge system. The combination of all these improvements is an increased cleaning efficiency, exactly what Oji Saga needed for its Dryer Fabrics.
