Arkhbum Tissue Group, one of Russia’s largest producers of sanitary and hygienic paper products plans to accelerate its expansion in the domestic market in years to come, according to Vladimir Krupchak, Investment Director of Pulp Mill Holding, which is a parental company of Arkhbum Tissue Group.

As Krupchak told in an interview with the Russian Kommersant business paper, Arkhbum Tissue Group LLC has recently signed an agreement with the Russian Kaluga Region on the construction of the second and third phases of the plant with a capacity of 140,000 tonnes.

According to him, the first stage of the plant with a capacity of 70,000 tons in the "Vorsino" site was launched by the company in 2020 and currently specializes on the manufacture of a wide range of products under the Soffione brand.

Currently the company supplies its products both to the domestic market

and the market of more than 15 countries of the world.

Krupchak believes in good prospects of the Russian paper market, as the current level of consumption of paper products in Russia is low: about 3.5 kg per person per year. For comparison: in the USA this figure is 24 kg, while in Europe - 14 kg.

Vladimir Krupchak comments:

«Due to this the Russian tissue market has a room to grow, and we will occupy our niche in it among the top three sales leaders».
