Kronospan to establish production of paper from finished cellulose in Russia’s Kaluga region

Kronospan is preparing for the launch of production of paper from finished cellulose in the Kaluga Region, that will be carried out within the territory of the Kaluga special economic zone in Russia.

 

The new project is known as "Ultra Decor Rus", while most of its output will be used as a raw material for local enterprises of Kronospan for the production laminated MDF, chipboard.

 

The capacity of the plant will amount to 40,000 tonnes of paper per year. At the initial stage it will consist of two lines with the possibility of doubling within the next several years.

 

It is planned, the first stage of the plant will be commissioned by the end of 2021.

 

In the meantime, the Kaluga authorities have already promised the investor to provide all the needed support during implementation of the project, while in addition to favourable customs conditions and tax preferences, all investors will be provided with the necessary engineering and transport communications.

 

The new plant will be located on the total area of 30 ha.
